🌿 Millets Upma 🌿
🌿 Soak 1cup of Millets (any 1type or Mix) for minimum 30mins
🌿 Chop veggies of choice. I've added 1 small Carrot, 1 Capsicum, 1 Tomato and 1 Onion
🌿 In a small pressure cooker, Heat 2tbsp coconut oil, once hot, add in 1tsp Mustard seeds, 1tsp Chana dal, 1tsp Urad dal.
🌿 Once the urad dal turns colour, add in 1/4 tsp Hing, 1/2" grated ginger, 6 chopped Green Chillies, 2 sprigs of Curry Leaves. Saute for 1-3mins
🌿 Drain the soaked Millets and add it in. Add 1.5 cups of water. 1.5 tsp Salt, 1 tsp Jaggery and all the chopped vegetables.
🌿 Cook for 2 whistles. Open once the pressure is released. Garnish with Fresh chopped coriander leaves and freshly grated Coconut (which I didn't add)
🌿 Serve with a dilip of ghee with a side of Coconut chutney / Chutney powder / Pickles / Raita
- I've added frozen Safal peas. I boiled them seperately, drained and added them in the end before serving.
